After Dom's Birthday we went to our friend Eddie's 30th "Wig" Birthday Party! It didn't start until late so we had the energy to make it... It was totally fun! But we had to leave early since Alyssa was feeling well when we left. Let's just say Ben looked "MEAN" and like Taboo from Black Eyed Peas and I... well I don't think I could ever pull off "bangs" or "black hair".. ha ha.. Eddie had a mullet and Chris turned into "Chris Angel" and Erin and Karla.. they turned into Eve and Kat Williams.. ha ha .. fun fun... Happy Birthday Eddie!

Dominic's 3rd Birthday Party!

The day has finally arrived... It's Dominic's 3rd Birthday Party.. We had it at a Jumper place called Wild Kingdom... I went with the whole Bob the Builder/Tonka Truck theme since Dom loves playing in the dirt!
The day started off well... Dom woke up at 6am!(my kids don't believe in sleeping in) and was excited cause he knew it was Saturday/his party day! So at 11:30 I gave the kids baths and got them ready for a nap. Dominic then decides he doesn't want a nap! After fighting with him, he goes down at 1:30! Only an hour before his party.. so at 2:15 Ben wakes him up (I had already left) and he's just screaming and crying. SO needless to say.. the first jumper room of his party was a total waste! He was grumpy! He did warm up by the second jumper room! Thank goodness!

Overall it was a great time, I only wish I could of invited a few more of his friends, but was limited due to space! That was the only downfall... can't have everything...

Now I've Seen it All!

I was really excited about my new patio cover for our set we purchased in Summer... Reason being we have all of the cushions in the garage so the outside weather doesn't ruin them, but it's totally cramping my style... So this new cover is suppose to cover everything (including the chairs)! Right now we have this ugly yellow tarp over the table only... So I go out with Alyssa and excitedly pull the tarp off.. when I saw this thing Fly out.. Alyssa is watching it also.. At first I thought it was a large butterfly but then thought that doesn't sound right... So I keep staring at it flying over head like I really P.O. it... WHEN FINALLY it goes over Alyssa's head and right in front of my face! What was it???? It was a BAT! I made eye contact with it and saw its teeth! Now I've seen it all... I think I live in the wild! I let out a scream that woke Ben up and sent him running and made Alyssa cry... and saddest part... my new patio cover doesn't fit! Oh well... maybe next time!

Its Been a Month!?!

Wow... I can't believe it has almost been a month since I blogged... Where have I been... ??? Apparently swamped at work!!! I have to admit that September is the hardest month to get through... I have to learn my new class (personalities, groups, etc) and get all of my schedules going... Its been tough!

Let me try to catch you up on allllll the happenings I've neglected to post on...

~Dominic continues to do EXCELLENT at school... The teacher comments almost everyday on what a great boy he is! Ive been so proud of my little guy. He has even been working on crying less when someone upsets him...

~I survived Back 2 School night and 3 IEP's.... whew...

~I finished Doms Bday Invites... I wanted to invite more people but was limited due to the facility.. If I didnt invite someone please know I really wanted to!!!! :(

~Google took away all of my Ads for a lousily reason!!! arghhhhhh

~My Mother-in-Law Annie turned the big Six-OH!!! Well technically she is still 59 for 3 more days... hang in there Annie! You look AWESOME!!!

~Finished Dom's Innisbrook Fundraiser..(thanks to everyone who ordered!)

~Alyssa has officially discovered ELMO... and is in LOVE!

~Went to the LA Fair with my mom, brother Paul, Erika, and nieces!

Day TWO... still Succeess!

Today was Dom's second day, and Ben told me that Dom could of cared less when he told him he was leaving... he was in the center of the room playing with a toy truck and just said "Daddy look Mac" and then "Bye" not even looking back.
When I went to go get him, he was walking with his class in a straight line to the lunch area for snack time... he didn't notice me so it was really cute to see him follow his teacher and sit at the tables... he sat waiting patiently for his turn to receive "goldfish" and even said "thank you". He finally spotted me and we began to leave (teacher said he had another good day... cried once when she went on break and another teacher took him potty and didn't help with his clothes.. we have to make him more independent).. I asked Dom where his lunch bag was and he informed me "It's in my classroom." How cute!

Dom's First Day of PreSchool!

My little Dominic has started preschool now! He is not officially the Pre-K class, but the preschool class... We have been talking about it all weekend and he seemed really ready and excited.. We even let him pick out his own lunch bag, and of course just like his father, he picks out one of the most expensive bags! It is really cute though.. It's of a semi-truck and he calls it Mac(from the movie Cars). So we got him all ready and left for school!

I had received permission to be a little late to work so I could accompany Ben on dropping off Dominic!(Ben is now incharge of taking Dom) We got there and he just ran into his room! He was soooo excited and happy. We showed him his cubby where his lunch bag goes, and then he bolted straight for the toys! His teacher is a really nice lady! Dominic then gave us all kisses, and told Alyssa that she had to go to Mary's house(his old sitter) and gave her a kiss....

When I picked him up, his teacher informed me that he had an AWESOME day... He only cried once when another student tried to go into the same bathroom stall as him and pinched his hand *(no marks...prob. just more drama than anything!) He even earned a sticker because he was such a good helper on cleaning up toys and one of their centers! I was soooooo Proud of my boy! I hope he stays this excited! He has a fall fundraiser starting soon, back to school night, and Picture Day! I can't wait... fyi... friends/family dominic will be knocking on your door soon..hee hee

I'm Back!

Okay... I have REALLY neglected my blog lately... mostly for two reasons. One: I'm back at work and have had NO time.. just feel like there is 110 things I need to do for work... and Two: My site was having some issues... Oh well, I'm back now!
The heat has also not been a fun factor... It has been so hot at school/work that I feel like my brain is melting! I feel bad for my students! When recess is over they are sooo flushed and sweaty! I have a ten minute yard duty during the morning Recess and it's horrible!
We got a new principal this year at work... she seems really nice.. but with a new boss always comes lots of changes... Maybe that's why I feel like I have so many things to do! HELP!
