Driving on the freeway the other day we found ourselves behind this OLD 72' Honda! Ben was laughing pretty hard. My goodness this car is tiny... I can't believe this car is still allowed on the road! ha ha ha

Trying to Catch a Fish!
On Sunday... to cheer us up we went to see our little swimmer in the family... EVA!!! My sis-in-law has created this neat family site for us and when looking at the Upcoming Events I discovered that Eva (my hubby's little cousin) was swimming at a school near us... Excited to do something joyous we went...
Unfortunately we MISSED all of her events... What a BUMMER... Her mommy (Aunt May) said she had some great meets, but we had just missed her... Rats! Next time Eva will get there earlier!
Good Bye to a Great Friend!
This weekend was a somber one for me.... I had just come back from my Science Camp experience, was feeling a little sick still, and then had to go to a funeral of a dear friend. I actually found out that we lost our friend last Monday...February 18th, 2008... His name was Moises De La Cerda and I had known him since 9th grade. He was a good friend of my brother Steve and a cousin to my ex. He was an amazing person... always giving to others... always taking care of others... I have so many found memories of hanging out with Moises growing up. I remember all of us being "stupid" and wanting to drink in the car as he drove to Raves (he was always designated driver) and he would make us put all of our open drinks in the trunk of the car.. he was just a caring guy! We all called him "Uncle Buck" or "Uncle Bookie" after John Candy and in the movie Uncle Buck he drove this gigantic Station Wagon... Yup.. that was Moises car! He did not deserve to be killed or taken from us so young!
If you're wondering what happened... here it goes... He was on a date with a girl (1st date) and got a flat tire on the 210 fwy... He pulled to the shoulder to change the flat... The girl held a flash light for him and when he finished changing the tire he walked the girl to the passenger side and as he walked to his driver side to get in the car... a "drunk driver" hit him, took off, and he died as a result! WHY!?! Moises was such a good guy that he was an Usher at his church... he called Bingo for the church every week... I know the priest said at his services that of all of his friends he was ready to meet his maker...but I wasn't ready to say goodbye... He was only 35 years old.. and I know he wanted to have kids one day...
Moises was one of a kind... He will be missed by many! I love you Moises and will miss you dearly!

I've Joined My Hubby!
I think as I've gotten older... I've forgotten how much I use to enjoy video games... I remember when my friend Christina would spend the night and we wouldn't go to sleep till 3-4am!!! Trying to pass Super Mario Bros..... Well Ben has been real into his XBOX 360 and has bought me a few games... I find that I'm now stuck on

My Darn Knee!
It all started last March.. I was running with my class.. and me being the silly teacher I am.. decided to play a tag game to motivate my "lazy" students to run.. If I caught them, they would owe me a recess... So there I am.. Inches away from tagging one of my students.. when all of a sudden he pump fakes me and I trip over my own feet and WHAM! I hit the ground.. HARD..
Now bring us to today! My knee still gives me trouble and has really been acting up this last month.. Its swollen and hurts! So I finally went in!
The doctor decided to stick a needle in my knee on the side, to go under my kneecap and draw any extra fluid... there wasn't really any excess, so then off to the X-Ray wing... The doctor recommends physical therapy and did note that my kneecap felt strange (maybe arthritis).. Now I play the waiting game! First Pink Eye.. now this! I guess you turn 30 and it's all down hill from there!

Alyssa Starts My-Gym
Since Dominic has been the one to have classes and special events.. I felt it was time for Alyssa to have her own special activity.. I'm happy to say that My-Gym has opened in Chino Hills... I enrolled Alyssa in a Saturday class... It was our first session and she had a blast.. She enjoyed all of the activities... well most of them... circle time was of no interest for her... It was great to see her interacting with other babies and talking to them!
A Magical Wedding is in the Making!!!
Saturday my Mom and I went to a Disney inspired Bridal Shower... My good family friend Danny is getting married this May!!! He's Chris' brother (his parents are Doms god-parents)... hope your following along! 
Well Danny and his fiance Elisa love Disneyland so they are getting married at the Happiest Place on Earth! How exciting! The Bridal Shower was really cute... Disney things/games every where! I've never played so many games at one shower... The time went fast and we stood till all the gifts were opened...even though it was all the way in SAN DIEGO! Boy was I tired when I got home... but there was no way I was leaving before she opened my gift... I wrapped some personal items to look like flowers.. and then had two special gifts!
Let's just say they're edible and strawberry flavored... ha ha... Some one had to be the bad one at the shower... I took it upon myself to get the title... Can't wait for the Wedding!
